How to Stay Consistent with Massage Finding a massage routine that actually fits your life

Hello Beautiful Soul,🌷

There is a pattern I see quite often in massage.

Something starts hurting.

Your shoulders feel like stone. Your neck is tight. Your back has had enough. You finally book a massage and think:

“Why did I wait so long?” 😄

You feel better.

And then life gets busy again.

A month passes. Then three. Then six.

And eventually, your body reminds you that it would quite like some attention again.

So today I want to talk about something very simple:

How do you make massage part of your routine - without feeling like you need to live on a massage table?

You don’t need a massage every week forever

This is important.

There is no perfect massage schedule that works for everybody.

Someone who spends eight hours a day at a desk may have very different needs from someone who trains several times a week.

Someone working on their feet all day may feel tension differently again.

Stress, sleep, movement, work, exercise and everyday habits can all influence how your body feels.

So instead of asking:

“How often should everyone have a massage?”

I prefer:

“What rhythm works for your body right now?”

If you’re starting with a lot of tension

Sometimes your body needs a little more attention at the beginning.

If you’ve been living with muscular tension for a long time, you may choose to start with a few treatments relatively close together - for example, weekly for several sessions.

Then, as things settle and you understand how your body responds, appointments can become less frequent.

Maybe twice a month.

Eventually, perhaps once a month simply feels right for maintenance and relaxation.

It doesn’t have to be the same forever.

Your routine can change with you.

The goal isn’t to wait until everything hurts again

This is where consistency can make massage feel very different.

If every appointment begins only when your body is already extremely uncomfortable, a lot of the session may naturally be spent focusing on the areas that are bothering you most.

Regular massage gives you another option.

You can notice tension earlier.

You can have treatments that aren’t always about “please fix my neck immediately.” 😄

And sometimes you can simply have a massage because it feels good to slow down, relax and take care of yourself.

That counts too.

A course can make consistency much easier

This is one of the reasons I offer Massage Packages at inSoul Wellness.

You can choose a package of 5 or 10 sessions, depending on how you want to approach your routine.

And it doesn’t mean every treatment has to look exactly the same.

Your body isn’t identical every week, so your massage doesn’t have to be either.

Depending on the package and your needs, you can choose from different body massage treatments or use a course for regular face massage.

One week your shoulders may need more attention.

Another time you may want deeper body work.

And sometimes you might simply need to relax.

Having several sessions already planned makes it much easier to think about massage as an ongoing part of your wellbeing rather than an emergency treatment you remember twice a year.

And because packages include a saving compared with booking the sessions individually, they can also make regular treatments more affordable.

You can find them under Treatments → Massage Packages on the inSoul Wellness website.

And if once a month feels like your perfect rhythm…

I also created a Massage Membership for exactly this.

It includes a 90-minute massage every month at membership pricing.

For me, 90 minutes is a beautiful amount of time for a regular treatment.

There is enough time to work with the body without feeling rushed, while still leaving space for relaxation.

Your monthly massage is already part of your routine, but you still choose the appointment date and time that works for you.

So your massage doesn’t have to happen on exactly the same day every month.

Your life can move.

Your schedule can change.

Your massage simply moves with it.

Packages or Membership - which one should you choose?

Think about what you want from massage.

If you’re currently experiencing more tension and want to have several treatments closer together, a 5- or 10-session Massage Package may make more sense.

It gives you flexibility to create a course around what your body needs.

If you already know that you simply want massage to become part of your monthly self-care, the 90-minute Massage Membership may be the easier option.

One massage.

Every month.

No need to keep deciding whether this month you “deserve” one. 💗

It’s already part of the plan.

And consistency doesn’t have to be perfect

Missed a month?

Went on holiday?

Life became chaotic?

You haven’t ruined anything.

Massage isn’t a challenge where you lose your progress because you missed Tuesday. 😄

The point of consistency isn’t perfection.

It’s simply moving away from the cycle of:

ignore the body → wait until it complains → book massage → feel better → forget about it again.

And towards something a little kinder:

notice → care → maintain.

You don’t need the most intensive routine.

You don’t need the most expensive one.

And you certainly don’t need to organise your entire life around massage.

You just need a rhythm that is realistic enough to continue.

Because just like with exercise, sleep, skincare or any other form of self-care, the routine that works best is usually the one you can actually maintain.

And your body deserves to be cared for before it has to shout for your attention.
